I am glad your Uncle is o.k. Maxine. :)
Thanks Marian, I phoned the hospital again tonight, my Uncle is fine, the social worker is going round tomorrow to sort out some sort of care package for when he goes home, maybe after the weekend, I said I will phone again tomorrow. We were going to go again on Sunday but if he does go home early next week I may leave it until next week and see him at home.

Things seem to be improving for Uncle Leon and Uncle Wright. I am so pleased. I had a care package when George came home from hospital, I could not have managed without them, and it meant that I could have him back home with me.

The news sounds better for both Uncle Leon and Uncle Wright so perhaps the recent publicity and concern for caring for the elderly in hospitals is finally reaching home.
Hope you find Uncle Wright Ok at the weekend John. !!

Good news about your Uncle Maxine. :)
Uncle Wright, all being well, is going home tomorrow, the carers are coming in once a day from Monday, I think.

That's lovely news too John! ...and thank you Marian...they are brave ole soldiers for sure 8)

My youngest used to work looking after elderly gents...for a year before uni...he got so attached to many of them ...and some of their stories were so moving ...such as a fella with dementia talking to his wife's photo ...and then there were such funny stories that they would tell my son and he'd sit and watch telly (last calls and wasn't paid)sometimes and have a laugh when they would comment on the Telly content lol ...ie ..how some youngsters behave or the music playing etc lol ...he just got so upset if they passed over ...but we have such positive news for our uncles and I'm so grateful for that :D

Uncle Wright went back home today, I phoned him half an hour ago, he sounded very cheerful, and was full of praise for the hospital. His next door neighbour was there, he is a cousin of my Aunt's and Dad's. He had put the gas fires on for him. Someone is coming in each day to check on him, so that is good. I told him we would be up to see him probably next weekend.
