NSCFC - New Radio Station

Post by Michele Monro » Sat Aug 06, 2011 5:33 pm

As I mentioned on Facebook Mike Ellis who runs NSCFC has launched his own radio station and because he is passionate about music has dedicated an hour of Matt Monro music to the programme. This is something that will be a permanent feature. There is also an interview I did with Vince Tracey that you might like to listen to.

Tell Mike why you think the Matt Monro hour is a great idea and ask for you favourites here and the station will play them.

Mike Ellis has left this posting on my Facebook page:

If any of Matt's loyal fans would like to listen to more than an hour of his songs please let me know and I will extend it for as long as you wish as in two, three, four hours and so on, indeed it would be my privilege . Kind regards. Mike

New Radio Station - Family Radio 1

Post by Michele Monro » Sat Aug 20, 2011 12:49 pm

I just received a wonderful email from Mike Ellis who recently launched Family Radio. He is a big fan of Matt Monro and really wanted to help out in helping me keep dad's legacy burning brightly. It is very rare to find someone who goes beyond the call of duty with no ulterior motive.

Hi Michele,

Here is the latest contribution to your dads memory http://www.familyradio1.com/matt_monro.htm. Suffice to say Michele your obvious love for your father, mother and family life has left an indelible mark on my heart. As for your dads humble beginnings what I didn’t realize until the early hours of this morning as I delved ever deeper, is something both he and I had in common namely a mother who had a breakdown and after I was rescued from the streets she also was put into a Sanatorium and the effect it had on your father and I both the like of which has stayed with me until this very day.

Anyways I hope my loyalty to Matt's memory will bring pleasure to his fan base and help it to grow and grow. I have already received kind words from two of Matts fans re his music on the station.

Hope you like the new additions and separate link to Matt

Kind regards

Mike

The link to Mike Ellis was really good and we were able to contact him and ask him to keep on playing Matt and if possible to extend the hour to a minimum of two or more.

We reallly enjoyed the interview you gave Michele and it's good to know that there is such support out there for Matt and his music.

:D :D

Yes, as always a great interview Michele, and the longer Matt's music can be heard on these radio programmes the better. :)

Just had a smashing email from Mike in which he tells me that he has now added over two hours of dad's music to the station because of numerous requests from the fans. So keep up the good work - you never know we might even get that increased!!!!

Don't forget to pop into Family Radio and take a listen.

Mike's done it again - he has added a whole spate of Matt Monro material

http://www.familyradio1.com/matt_monro.htm

He says he intends to promote all of dad's 25 songs in Spanish in every Spanish speaking country around the world!!

If you had a choice, which one would you favour in terms of trying for a hit? Let Mike know at: info@familyradio1.com
