Dorothy Mcguire R.I.P.

Post by john » Tue Sep 11, 2012 4:39 pm

I read yesterday that one of The Mcguire Sisters, Dorothy, passed away aged 84. She and her sisters recorded many great songs during the fifties and had hits including "Sincerely" and "Sugartime".

That's sad to hear. The McGuire Sisters were a great harmonising trio, and it was Phyilis Mcguire who encouraged Al Martino to go for the part of Johnnie Fontaine in The Godfather.
