HAYLEY IN CORRIE

Post by karl » Sat Dec 28, 2013 4:31 pm

I haven't watched Coronation Street for years but it came on last night so I watched it.

I have to say the scenes with Hayley & Roy were very moving - didn't you just want to slap the "B I T C H" in the theatre box office?

I always said when the Corrie cast get a decent script they can really get to grips with it.

Last night was acting at it's finest.

I have been following this story line since it started-well, I have always watched Corrie--but do not remember such a sad , yet beautiful story line. i cry every time Roy and Hayley are on. Even more so last night. Just heartbreaking.

Some of you may say that it is just a soap--but it is very very real to me.

The skill of the actors make it real Mariana, I always said they are the best but don't have tyhe glitz and glamour of say Dallas or Dynasty.

The actors in The Bill were also excellent, you felt they were Police Officers and not actors and I Know Graham Cole (PC Tony Stamp) worked with real officers to make it authentic.

I agree Marian. The way they are under playing it is heartbreaking. If they don't win a ton of awards no one will.

I agree. The storyline is very moving and upsetting, even though it is only a TV programme it is so real. I think Roy and Hayley are the best part of Coronation Street, and have been for a long time, and it is going to be very sad to see her go. Both terrific actors too.

They should get every award going-I do not know how I will watch when Hayley eventually goes--and what will poor Roy do then !!

I agree Sandra, I think she's gone as far as she can with Norris. She obviously likes Roy so no doubt she'll be there for him when the time comes.
I also hope Roy's Mum comes back into his life.

I had forgotten about Mary---well, I think she is keen on him--but the other way round--not sure it would work. Yes, I would like toi see his mum back-she left quite suddenly, didn't she.

Yes, she left suddenly for personal reasons I believe, but I noticed she was in "Still Open All Hours" on Boxing Day.

BTW---really sad again tonight---she is beginning to look desperately ill--and the scenes with Carla, and the scenes where Roy has to tell everyone that Hayley just has a few weeks to live.

No I didn't see it Marian I was in Glasgow all day and never got home until after 10pm

Dusty must be one of the most played singers on soaps & plays - she turns up frequently!
