Singles help

Post by Rmoore » Mon Apr 28, 2008 6:45 pm

Hi all,

Whilst working on the sessions section of Michele's book I have come across a few things where the information can only be found on the original records most things I have found out or am in the process of finding out.

However there are a couple of things that one or two of you guy's might have that you can help me with.

1. Try To Remember/Love Song single. I need to find out the Arranger and Conductor for these songs

2. Be My Lady/Memory - Does anybody out there have a copy of the original Phillipine single. If not does anybody have the compilation it first appeared on "The Very Best of Matt Monro Volume 3"?

Thanks

Richard

One other thing - Does anyone have the album "RETRATO DE MATT MONRO"
which contains the Spanish version of 'My Friend My Friend' called 'Tal Vez Tal Vez'

I have no details on this recording at all - so i'm after any information that may be on the sleeve.

Thanks

Richard

Hi Richard,
I have a promotional copy of "Love Song" and "Try to Remember".
The only info given is David Cavanaugh produced "Try to Remember"(Harvey Schmidt - Tom Jones) and George Martin "Love Song" (also Harvey Schmidt- Tom Jones.)

Thanks Marian,

The EMI and Capitol Archives are extremely lacking when it comes to who arranged & Conducted what - Oh well back to the drawing board for that one.

Thanks

Richard
