Having recorded Mr Selfridge I watched it yesterday and was intgrigued by the new advert with the cat and a budgie singing You're All I Need To Get By - has anyone seen it? It's brilliant!

i love it karl we have a budgie and i love this advert...my dear Uncle hd a budgie called billy...he used to talk and sit on my aunties shoulder when she did the washing up ...he was their baby and we used to have a cat ...before Robbie the budgie....same as the cat in the commercial ....anything with animals on the telly we love ...espeacially dogs

Maxine years ago my neighbours (Eve & Eric) had a budgie called Bobby who stayed in my house when they were on holiday. Eve was aways amazed as he would run up my arm but never do it with her.

Bobby was a great talker and would talk like Eric when he said "Whatcha Doin' - Watch It" and then softer tones like Eve.

I never knew if Bobby loved or loathed Shirley Bassey and perhaps tried to sing along with her but any time she was on tv he went nuts!

We used to have a budgie called Perry, and among other things Peter taught him to say "I'm a sparrow in a fancy suit" He also used to imitate winding up the cuckoo clock that we had at the time. We had him for many years.

I'd even put up with a cat if it could sing like Marvin Gaye! - Don't mind cats just allergic to them.

Love cats, always had at least one, they just come from somewhere each time. Like dogs too.
How about your chinchilla Richard, are you not allergic to him/her?

I think this is the best advert on TV at the moment, it is brilliant. There is another one as well, with a little girl pushing a cat in a pram, if I remember correctly, can't think what the advert is for, another good one, but not as good as the cat and budgie.
