With Matt In Mind

Post by Lena & Harry Smith » Mon Feb 05, 2007 4:34 pm

With The latest CD "From Matt With Love" how we all adore those songs so superbly sung and with such tenderness "The Man With The Golden Voice" so incompareable
Our thoughts will be with Michele, Mickie, Matt , Max, all the family on Wednesday the 7th Feb on the Twenty Second Anniversary of dear Matt's passing.

I played only his CDs today. No other singer was considered.

Terence, that's a lovely thought and tribute to Matt.
We mentioned and requested a song to be played on Eric Hall's programme last Sunday. Eric's assistant read out our e-mail and Eric played " A Portrait Of My Love"

Robert

I am as sad as you are.
We have kept Matt alive on this board and suddenly we are confronted with his death, 22 years ago.
How my heart breaks trying to accept reality. :(

Hi All

A very sad day, the only comfort I have is Matt's marvellous voice.

WE too, would like to say that our thoughts are with the Monro family today, and even though we are still a long way from home, we remember you on this day.

Remembering a very special man. Loved and repected by so many...the great MATT MONRO.
The voice of Matt Monro is part of my life. I take his music with me wherever I go.

It is on days like these--anniversaries of loved ones special days , that are always more difficult to cope with, no matter how many years have passed. But while our loved ones are still loved and remembered, they will always be around.

We are so fortunate to have the wonderful voice of Matt to listen to and remember, especially today.

He was not only the greatest singer in the whole world but also one of the nicest, unaffected by fame.

He did not become snobbish or unapproachable to fans. He willingly signed autographs for them.

He produced two fine kids......Matt Jr and Michele who are similarly approachable & just plain nice people.

I bet he was a loving husband too but you gotta ask Mickie!
