John Inman

I was really sorry to hear the sad news of John Inman's passing today, he was unforgettable in the role of Mr Humphries in Are You Being Served, he will be very sorely missed by all his colleagues and fans alike.

I agree John. 71 is quite young these days too. He was always very entertaining in the role. Wendy Richard was interviewed about him on the midday news, and she said how much she will miss her dear friend and neighbour. I think it was St Mary's she mentioned he had been in for several months, so it looks as if he had been ill for some time.

Yes, Trevor Bannister, Frank Thornton and Nicholas Smith were on Richard and Judy tonight paying tribute, and they said he had been ill for some time.

Yes, very sad news to hear this morning. Rula Lenski was on Breakfast time this morning talking of her times of working with John and spoke about him with a lot of affection.

He was a true pro, and his comedic timing and delivery was masterful.. A great loss to the entertainment industry.
