Hi Paul--the Beverley sisters were like a British Andrews sisters, I guess--sang a lot of novelty songs, very popular at one time. I saw them on a Tv show recently and they still looked good , I thought.

I think the reason why Harry and Lena put "mummy" in the last song title, is that we just do not use "Mommy " over here!

Here are the words to that sad song--Nat King Cole also sang it--a very sad little tune also--a real tearjerker !

Hes the little boy that santa claus forgot,
And goodness knows, he didnt want a lot.

He sent a note to santa
For some soldiers and a drum,
It broke his little heart
When he found santa hadnt come.

In the street he envies all those lucky boys,
Then wanders home to last years broken toys.
Im so sorry for that laddie,
He hasnt got a daddy,
The little boy that santa claus forgot.

I forgot to put a new verse in---here is a nice easy one--

The sun is shining; the grass is green
The orange and palm trees sway
There's never been such a day in Beverly Hills L. A.
But it's December the 24th and I'm longing to be up north

Hi Marian, this is a traditional favourite for everyone.... I'm Dreaming Of A "White Christmas."

Now here's another easy one........

Everbody stops and stares at me.
These two teeth are gone as you can see.
I dont know just who to blame for this catastrophe.
But my one wish on Christmas Eve
Is as plain as it could be.

I think I know it too, Lena and Harry, and Marian, but I don't want to spoil it for Paul, so I'll just say I think it begins with "All I want for Christmas..

Thanks for saving this one for me, Marian.

It would have to be All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth. Actually I've never heard that opening lyric.

I thought the "mummy" in the title was funny! It reminds me of my dilemma when I go to your card shops trying to find a "mother" or "parents" card for my mom and dad. It's not that easy, but sometimes I find something!

Here is one of my favourite opening lyrics. I've reached the point where I don't even want to hear the song without the opening lyric. It's that good.

Christmas makes you feel emotional
It may bring parties or thoughts devotional
Whatever happens or what may be,
Here is what Christmas time means to me.

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without hearing this one Paul
" SILVER BELLS " It''s one of our favourite Al Martino songs from his album.
Here's another......

I Just came back
from a lovely trip
Along the Milky Way.
I stopped off at the North Pole
to spend a holiday.
I called on dear old Santa Claus
To see what I could see
He took me to his workshop
And told his plans to me....so

I believe the lyric to Jingle Bells begins with "Dashing through the snow".

I think Lena and Harry's lyric is from Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, or should I say Father Christmas Is Coming To Town?

Since I'm not sure, I won't supply a new opening lyric yet. But I'll have one ready for Wednesday evening!

Here is another opening lyric. It has a beautiful melody and I love to hear it performed with the song.

Christmas future is far away,
Christmas past is past.
Christms present is here today,
Bringing joy that will last.

This is one of the nicest Cristmas songs Paul.

"Have yourself A Merry Little Christmas"

Here's an easy one....Fingers on buzzers

You know Dasher and Dancer Prancer and Vixen.
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen.
But do You recall.
The most famous Reindeer of all.

I knew "Have yourself a Merry Little Chgristmas"-one of my favourite Christmas songs.

The new one is "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer", I think!

Right---here is my next one---Pretty easy--

It's Christmastime
There's no need to be afraid
At Christmastime, we let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world at Christmastime
