Yes on a serious note it was Lucky she didn't cut herself, but it was just so funny as it happened the very moment after saying that the glass frame wasn't the original.

Well It's all a learning experience, and on yesterday's show even David Harper discovered that the Royal Crown Derby bowl he purchased was a fake.

Cynicism,I know, but I'm sure they were deliberately broken and then highly valued by the auctioneer for insurance purposes.
Imagine an'expert'not knowing the difference between a real and fake Crown Derby bowl?

I'm of the same opinion Mark, and had said exactly the same thing to Peter.
There just seem to be too many breakages and forgeries to be true.
All done for tv ratings! :? :?

Yes. the guy in the shop went straight to the bowl for David Harper to look at and it's amazing that a man such as David Harper who has been dealing in antiques for a number of years, makes regular trips buying and selling, writes regular columns for magazines and writes books on coins etc, and couldnt recognise a fake Crown Derby.

Healthy profits too at the end of their'stint'-of course, we must remember that all shots are'set-ups',not spontaneous/casual happenings.
Also, have you noticed that they all seem to be able to park on double yellow lines or on pavement areas-next time we go antique hunting,we'll take a camera crew and team along!
