I just love Jean & When I Look Into Your Eyes.

Two wonderful songs.

I was wondering just how long it would take Robert to point out that "South Pacific" is his favourite musical.

I am a great fan of musicals both old and new alike. I was wondering Robert given your partiality to South Pacific if you have ever seen the film version with Glenn Close playing the part of Nellie Forbush? I think she is a superb actress and has a really good singing voice but I personally feel that she was totally miscast in this role. Or could it be because Mitzi Gaynor was so perfect for the part?

Maureen :) :)

Maureen, I think the version with Glenn Close did not go down very well--maybe because she is not known as a singer-I do not know.

But I have yet another version that starred Reba MacEntire
[she is actually a country music singer-one of my favourites ]--and I loved it--Reba is great as Nellie.

Thanks Mariana for the info on South Pacific. :D

I honestly have to admit that I never knew there was a third version out there and also I have never heard of Reba MacEntire.

So the old saying is true that you learn something everyday!

Maureen :D :D
