Oh, just remembered Edwin Starr's fantastic motown hit '25 Miles'.

Has anyone suggested 'I am 16 going on 17' from The Sound of Music, also?

Actually, Robert, the proper title of the great Proclaimers' song is I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles).

I can't believe no one has submitted the best recording of John Lennon's solo career:

#9 Dream

L&H, "I'm Puttting All My Eggs in One Basket" was mainly a Fred Astaire number, with just a little help from Ginger Rogers

Thanks for the info Robert. I hope the MacDonald Brothers supply lead vocals. :D I'm sure they will sell more than the shockingly low sales for Leona Lewis' single.

I guess I had better submit another song title with numbers. Has this great 1960s song been entered already?

96 Tears by ? & the Mysterians

No Paul, as I don't think many people have heard of that song, including myself :?

96 Tears was a huge #1 hit in the US. It's still played on oldies stations. In the UK it reached #37 in November 1966. You really owe it to yourselves to check it out. I'm sure it's on many '60s rock compilations at HMV. It has a unique 1960s pop/rock sound.

Here's another number song ... perhaps it's already been submitted.

18 With A Bullet by Pete Wingfield

It's not a good song, but during its US chart life it was actually #18 with a bullet for a week on the Billboard Hot 100 chart!
