What Movies Have Been Playing On Your DVD/Video Lately?

Have been watching the first series of "Within These Walls" the past few nights. I don't actually remember it the first time around but we are enjoying it. Googie Withers is still going strong at the age of 93.

Watched the DVD........Rock and Roll at 50, today...........live appearances from the early rock/pop acts, made in 2003 ............Paul and Paula Johnny Tillotson, Gerry Marsden and Brian Hyland to name just a few of the participating artists

I was only thinking the names were a little obscure Marian, but of course they were before my time!!!! ha ha

Last night we watched 3 episodes of "Here's Harry", with Harry Worth.

I couldn't remember what the title of his programme was called so thanks John, I just put Harry Worth on the list of old tv progs.

Watched the first two episodes of the ITV series of SHERLOCK HOLMES starring Jeremy Brett. He is possibly THE best at playing the sleuth?

The best Sherlock has to be Basil Rathbone and the best Dr Watson Nigel Bruce ........absolutely.

I have to say I agree with you Robert. Basil Rathbone was great as Sherlock Holmes, and Nigel Bruce excellent as the bumbling Dr Watson.

Watched the wonderful South Pacific on BBC4 tonight ...............the actress France Nuyen who plays Liat in the film, was married to the late actor Robert Culp for a couple of years

Just watched'MASTER AND COMMANDER'on DVD-I'm still slightly sea-sick!

If you feel old, just wait until you see these two photos firstly Floyd Simmons, who played the good looking Commander Bill Harbison in South Pacific, he was the one with the dark hair who went around with Capt. Bracket. He was a former Olympic athlete and sadly passed away in 2008.
