Yes, that's for certain Sandra, no one could compete with Sinatra on that one.

I'M WALKING BEHIND YOU... Dorothy Squires recorded this, but it can only be Eddie Fisher on this one. :)

MY ROMANCE Ella Fitzgerald--Johnny Mathis.

I had never heard this song, until I heard Johnny Mathis record it in the 1950's---I loved it then--and I still do.

The Hollies for me also, Marian.

Have we had 'You Were Always On My Mind', yet?

Elvis beats Willie Nelson in my opinion.

I'm not sure I know the opening verse of this song. Funny enough I just found an old cassette that I made in the 1980s from a radio station programme. It featured a beautiful version by Mel Torme.

But I'd have to give the edge to Diana Ross and the Supremes as the best version of My Romance. I love the big ending.

:o Jo Whiley shockingly played Frank Sinatra's version on her Radio 1 show on Easter. I have to say it sounded absolutely fantastic on Radio 1. I also adore the thrilling version that Dinah Washington recorded with Maynard Fergusen and Clifford Brown. Their trumpet interlude is fantastic.
