Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info on Shirley Bassey. I have just checked the TV Magazine and earmarked all the programmes I will set to record.

We have seen some very good shows lately from the BBC namely Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mercer to name but a few. So refreshing from the usual dross....... (showing our age I think!!)

I'm half-way through 'THE DREAMS ON ME'Johnny Mercer biog.on DVD-excellent stuff.
I have it on same DVD as Tony Bennett at LSO St.Luke's and the Sammy Davis Show.
I'll have the time over this week-end,hopefully!

Have you seen the 'new' CD by Shirley.A 5 album set called the
EMI/UA YEARS 1959-1979.
Superb tracks including her version of 'If He Walked Into My Life' and 'If I Never Sing Another Song' :)

Good to see Rod McKuen on Shirleys show :) he was all over the TV screens in the 70's, but nothing really since.................if Dame Shirley was watching, I bet it brought back memories for her seeing her loveable Old English Sheepdog :)

Great evening of programmes with Shirley, some familiar ones and some more recent ones, trying out new songs, and barely a tantrum on this occasion, ....well not in front of the camers anyway,  with many shots of the glamourous and sexy Shirl to others showing signs of the aging process now making their mark. :) but entertaining all the same. :) :)
