You got it Marian! Well done! :D Here's the explanation.

Lily Allen's next single is a song called Shame For You. As some of you know, I like to buy 7 inch 45 rpm records when I visit the UK, which are totally unavailable in the US. Alfie is on the flip side (i.e., the opposite side) of Shame For You. As you know, Matt Monro recorded Alfie (but a different song from Lily's awful Alfie).

I kept using the word "search" in my clues. All you had to do was an internet search on Shame For You and you would have had the answer.

Sorry ... I said it was different and that you wouldn't be happy with me. But it is an opposite because it's on the flipside of Shame For You. The saving grace is I won't be around until Tuesday to incur your wrath  as this is Presidents Day weekend and I won't be anywhere near a computer! :)

Your turn Marian!

I can't believe it either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to have to have a lie down for a while too, before I can come up with anything to top Paul's clue!!!!!!
See you later

P.S. We'll never forget "Alfie" now..

Well, I must admit that I did a search in Lily Allen, and saw the song "Shame for you" that I had never heard of, so without the Lily Allen clue, I had no chance. I spotted that she had done a song called "Little things" and "Smile"--hence my guesses--plus I also spotted "Alfie", but it did not seem to fit somehow---but I see now--I think !!

Clever clue, Paul---you ALMOST stumped us there !!

Well done Marian, for getting that one.

Well, this one should be much easier. No hidden search required this time ...but it was interesting looking for the clues Paul.

A SILENT SOLO...
