CELEBRITY FAME ACADEMY

Post by mariana44 » Wed Mar 07, 2007 11:41 pm

I missed the first show on Satrday, and just caught up with it tonight.

Dear oh dear!! I liked Mel singing September--and Shaun and Tricia have good voices--Tricia should have as she has made records-and I think Shaun has sung quite a lot at some point---but apart from those 3. I thought the rest were just awful !!!

Yes, I know it is all for charity---and I would not do it for all the tea in China, and I know it must have taken a lot of nerve for some of them to stand up and sing to millions---but parts of it were really painful !!

i think it is on now every night until the 16th. I have not watched the results as yet-I will do that in the morning.

I completely agree Marian, most of them are dreadful, apart from Tricia and Shaun who have both had singing experience before. Mel and Tim weren't too bad I thought.
 I won't spoil it for you by saying who went out tonight. :? :?

Well I just watched the results show while having my breakfast...Well Miranda really had to go, didn't she??

By the way--just who is Miranda?? Although it is "Celebrity" Fame Academy, I only recognised about half the people on there.

Yes this show is a scream, and like these similar progs it becomes compelling to watch and we all need a good laugh at times.
We have heard Shaun singing at various times, and he is the best but they have said that this isn' t particularly about the best voice (good job too) but overall performance.
What a great personality Linda Robson is, and didn't Tim Vine change his tune last night. Well he had to after murdering "The Impossible Dream!

I think Miranda is a standup commedienne,  but I must admit I'd never seen or heard of her before this programme.

I have just watched last night's Fame Academy. It seems that the judges are being very harsh on Trisha--maybe because she is a more professional singer, and they are expecting more from her.

As far as I was concerned, Tara just murdered one of my favourite ALW songs-"Another suitcase in another Hall".

The Theme from Titanic is a very personal and emotional song for me, and I have never heard it sung by a man before--but I thought that Shaun did really well with it--again , I think the judges were over-critical with him.

Hard to pick out a winner at the moment as the judges are so unpredictable.

Still can't understand what the judges are looking for. We'd be hopeless as judges. They always give bad comments when we think they deserve good, and vice versa. Oh well !! you can't win em all :) :)

Watched the show last night and it was Angellica's time to.. Walk Away.
It was the toughest night of all having to choose between Angellica and Colin,.. but she'd had a wonderful time. :) :)

Like you Lena and Harry, Peter and I feel we would be completely hopeless judges. We mostly always have the opposite opinon to their comments.

We would have voted Tara out a week ago Marian, but taking a long hard look at this entire line of entrants, what an odd bunch.
We just hope they recover one day.

I wouldn't have voted Tara in,in the first place-what an awful woman!
For no other reason but that she is in the show,as the Dragons say,I'm out!

Tara's still hanging on in there. I reckon she gets the sympathy vote. She appears so vulnerable. :? :?

I thought the duet of Shaun and Trisha was great last night. I know the others are not trained singers, but I have to use the fast-forward button on them after a few seconds-it just gets too painful.

Tara murdered a "Carpenters" song last night.

And as for Jamie Cullum---well he still had that "birds nest " on his head---room enough for a couple of emus, I should think !!!!

We thought the duet with Shaun and Tricia with "Islands In The Stream" was very good. Tara sang and murdered "Penny Lane" as expected, and
we weren't impressed with the other chosen songs tonight. Probably because we didn't know them.
