Very Best of Johnny Pearson again tonight :) Johnnys own composition Sleepy Shores is a beautiful piece of music, but most of the other tracks are just run of the mill cover compositions ie........ If, Don't Cry For Me Argentina and What's Another Year to name a few. Johnny did write the music to All Creatures Great and Small too.

Deep Purple's album Machine Head from 1972. Contains their most famous track, Smoke On The Water. Not bad, though not entirely my kind of thing. I spend a lot of time listening to music I don't like, strangely enough, because I want to be able to recognise the music, not necessarily because I always like it. Also recently revisited Led Zeppelin tracks: my favourite of theirs is "Rock and Roll", and I prefer them overall to Deep Purple.
