I just love that song--I had never heard it before I heard Matt singing it--although I now also have a version by Jack Jones. But Matt's version is so special !!

I think Shirley Bassey sings it as well, Mariana.

Hello all - seem to remember 'And we were lovers' was on the same Shirley Bassey album as 'Big Spender' and 'Summer Wind'. What a wonderful period of music that was - did Michael Legrand write 'Summer Wind' - its another favourite song moment!

Had my usual elcectic mix on my ipod at the moment - switches from Matt, to Eydie, to Bobby, to Alma, Petula, Dusty, then to JLo, Eternal, Destinys Child, before a bit of brit rock with Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs - its great fun on Shuffle - from 'Johnny one note' to 'I predict a riot' at the flick of a button!
Michael

Here I go again, I hear those trumpets blow again.......

I always have my ipod on shuffle--even when I am listening to a Playlist---you just never know what is coming next!!

I am just off to bed, and put the new 2 in 1 Spanish cd on---I will probably be fat asdleep in 10 minutes---no disrespect to Matt---but his voice is just so relaxing !!

Goodnight all !!

They have this double on Amazon uk at £9.98 plus postage unless orders are over £15.
The album "And We Were Lovers" has been re-issued in different countries with different titles and several times songs altered.
