If England cannot win against Algeria--then they do not even deserve to be in South Africa !!

I will join you in a celebratory cup of tea--[or coffee, in my case ]Denny,--- if England win

USA was robbed from their 3rd Goal today. If you were watching the US-Slovenia match, the 3rd US Goal by the USA with 5 minutes left was
perfect, but was disallowed by the referee in his first World Cup job... All I can say is Algeria needs to tie England or the US will be in deep
s..t (I mean "trouble"). My prediction is: England will win easily....3-1

~Your prediction should have been right Henry--unfortunately it was not. I did not see the match, but it sounds as though both teams were concentrating oin defending, which can lead to a boring game .

Bad luck for USA, having a goal disallowed---what do you think--was it a good goal or not ?

I think the goal was disallowed because the referee had already blown his whistle for an earlier infringement of the rules.
We were awful tonight. We kept passing the ball to Algeria, their passing was much better than ours, and we were damned lucky that they didn't score and win the match. :o :?

"We were just No Good"...a quote from your coach Capello (He's Italian!) about England's Soccer Game Tie with Algeria. I didn't view the match on TV, but from written reports that I read your team didn't have the "spark" needed to win! Sorry, my friends, so really rub your rabbit's Foot before England's next match.
On the disallowed goal the replays show a Solvenia player was holding a US player before the whistle, and the sound of the whistle was drowned
out by those damned "horns". Most commentators on ESPN thought it was a legal goal, or should have been a penalty on Slovenia!!

I totally agree Henry. In fact several of your players were being held back by the Slovenia side so really it seems very unfair that the U.S. was denied what appeared to be a perfectly good goal.

WORLD CUP WOES

We're burdened by England's 'useless clones'
and bored by the vuvus endless drones;
disconcerted by gabbling Adebayor
and dismayed by our failure to score.

ATONEMENT

The big freeze strikes when pressure
stalls the mind and the body follows
like birds turned into flightless grebes,
which once were soaring swallows.

The pent-up floodgates are released
when thawed-out fears subside
and are replaced by focused fury
provoked by injured pride.

I think it's an insult to the viewing public to have Adebyor rambling on without an interpreter present.
The rest of the pundits and their comments, are often watching a different game to us.
You can't win can you. :) :)
