Harvey's advert
Happy and Healthy Easter to you all! We're just packing up a picnic (I usuallly work at ASDA on a Sunday!) and we're off to the beautiful Ponthrydyfen area (only 3 miles away). It's known as 'Little Switzerland' because of the pine trees on either side of the valley, and with the River Afan meandering below it's a haven for a picnic! Plus it's all free! And the added excitment of the area is that Richard Burton was born in the village! The local pub has lots of photos of both Richard and Liz Taylor; pubs in Wales where Burton's second homes! Have a great Bank Holiday. By the way Harry I'll be taking my shorts and trainers - fancy one of our now famous jogs??? Perhaps we'll only run 5 miles today because it's quite warm. Be good.

We've had lunch and the family have gone out for a ride down to the the Thames Barrier area. So it's a blissfully quiet time with a cup of tea and listening to Eric. He's talking about hop picking in Kent.
We had families in our road who would go hop picking for the whole of the kids Six weeks Summer holiday.

Sounds like everyone has been making the most of the lovely weekend! A picnic sounds great - we've hada quiet one out in the country.
I bought furniture from Harveys sister company, since out of business, and wouldn't buy from them again - it was a nightmare.
That said, it is lovely to hear Matts voice singing such a wonderful summer tune. The power of advertising is indeed massive - and we've been lucky enought to hear a few great tracks of late eg 'The impossible dream' on the Honda ads, and Bobby Darin on the Vauxhall ones. I always try and download these tracks - still trying for the mix 'I've got life' that is on the Muller advert! Everytime I download it of i-tunes, its a slow version

With everyone enjoying themselves I thought I'd continue to talk 'outdoors'. The picnic was fab; we found a field to sit in and whilst Margaret continued to read her play and learn her lines (she's in a play next month!) I jogged, ate and began learning a script I've just written for an idea I've had with a local 'Frank Sinatra' I've become friendly with. It will be named the ALTERNATIVE FRANK AND DINO SHOW and will be in addition to my solo singing. Should be fun. Out in the 'Richard Burton' village wooded area we saw a thrush (not many about these days) and a grass snake! As I'm not entertaining tonight, we might nip into a local Club and be entertained for a change. Harry I'm annoyed at you - you sprinted the last mile!!!

Hi Gang (and Joe Waller)
The weather continues. I've just washed the car and we're ready for a rehearsal and then out somewhere! We ventured out to a Club last night (one of the biggest in Swansea) and with no smoking it was a pleasure to sit amongst over 300 others. There were 2 Acts and a Kenny Bennett (same surname as me!) was the 'middle' Act of the 2 and he was fantastic. He sang Neil Diamond, Elvis and Tony Christie songs and then finished his hours set with 7 Tom Jones songs as an impersonator. He was excellent!. My next Show is this coming Sunday when, as always, and around my Dean Martin Act, there will be a sprinkling of Matt Monro!!
