I'm with Paul on this but then it is easy for me to say this as I work no more than a 10-minute tube ride from HMV at Oxford Circus so can pop in there most days to browse and buy. I have heard that Amazon is very good for ordering things from, especially books; a friend of mine often buys French books from them and he said they arrive almost as soon as he's ordered them. So maybe one day I will order CDs from them, but for the moment I'm sticking with HMV in London, even if it is comparatively more expensive. After all, they need the support, given their current financial predicament.

We also agree Jon, there is nothing quite like visiting the store at HMV and it is very easy for us, so we have no excuse.
We have made several purchases from Amazon and also find the service and delivery excellent.

HMV's price was the lowest that we had seen at the time for the Spanish CD, so that was the choice.

I'd like to add a good word for Amazon too. Excellent service, always quick, and perfectly packaged.
I'm sure some of the stores are still trading from Jersey and Guernsey, HMV, Tesco, and Play.com for example. They don't have to pay VAT so CDs etc are much cheaper and they offer free postage too.

Hi all, yes i thought the same as a lot of you that online would be more convenient, cheaper and quicker, how wrong I was, still after only two weeks wait, chomping at the bit I was delighted to recieve an E mail from HMV this morning stating, Matt Monro - En Espana/Grandes Exitos En Espanol / Completely shipped , well thats that, my long awaited C.D. should be with me in the next 48-72 hours, what could go wrong, its in the hands of the Royal Mail, maybe i might just order another one just incase, take care all, Paul and Sue
