Yes that's correct Marian. The song "Be My Love" with Mario Lanza and Katherine Grayson was from the film "The Toast Of New Orleans," 1950
They also duetted Two arias from Madame Butterfly in this film..

You could never offend me Gray. :) Everyone in the forum is so nice. :D

Thanks for answering my question. I was asking if Matt Monro ever recorded two or more songs from one musical. I could only think of Bye Bye Birdie and The King And I. Gray pointed out West Side Story with Maria and Somewhere. Then Marian from Kent made me realise that he recorded both On A Clear Day and Come Back To Me from On A Clear Day You Can See Forever. But I can't think of any others. Why didn't he record Too Close For Comfort as well as Ethel Baby? Why didn't he record On The Street Where You Live as well as I've Grown Accustomed To Your Face?

 Wow, I just thought of If She Walked Into My Life and My Best Girl, both from Mame. So we are up to five musicals where he recorded two or more of the songs.

Back to the original subject of this message. I just spoke to my colleague, who is the Sirius radio subscriber. He reported that the standards/swing station has changed its format to Seriously Sinatra. Currently it's 90% Sinatra (and soon to be 100%), so he won't be hearing more Matt Monro songs. I'll remember never to subscribe to that radio station.

Hi Seb - Paul often sets little challenges like this - he's actually after a musical that Matt has sung more than one song from

Paul - Matt also recorded 'Just in Time' and 'The Partys Over', both from 'Bells are ringing' 8)
