Did you read my clue?

None of your guesses are correct. And it has nothing to do with Michael Ball, the lottery, Eastenders, or the Beatles.

Please go back to my clue about the unique arrangement of this precious Matt Monro song.

Day (or another with day) is not in the song title

Post by paul jh » Mon Apr 30, 2007 8:09 pm

Sorry, but those aren't correct. This isn't a synonym game. Why are you submitting songs with "day" in the title?

No, that's not it John. For Once In My Life has the typical orchestral accompaniment. As I've said before, my song has a unique setting. I've only heard Matt Monro sing one or two songs with this treatment.

I suppose one day is the opposite to many days :?: :?:
Could we possibly have another clue other than the unique nature of the recording please.

You're familiar with the album this song comes from

You will find the song on the album that has been number one on my personal chart for five straight months. What song has the the most unique treatment on this album?

Till The End Of Time is Not on My #1 album

Post by paul jh » Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:56 pm

Sorry, Marian, but Till The End of Time is not on my current number 1 album. I love the song though. I have mentioned this album repeatedly, so you all should know it. The Matt Monro song in this current game was recorded before Till The End Of Time. Besides there's nothing unique about the arrangement of Till The End Of Time; it features lush strings, which most Matt Monro recordings have.

One of the words in the title is the exact opposite of a word in Eight Days A Week.

Well Paul, I think I have the correct album, so I'm going to try "During One Night". :?: :?: or possibly "In the Still of the Night."

Finally, you got it Marian! It's During One Night. "One" is very different from Eight. And "Night" is the opposite of Days. I thought the arrangement clue would give it away. I love the piano, bass, and drums arrangement and wish we could have an entire album of Matt Monro songs accompanied by a trio. Do other recordings exist?
