American Idol Season 6
Is Jordin the next Mariah Carey? I'm still sleepy!
Marian and everyone - Please let us know your opinions on the rendition of the Carousel song.
I stayed up until 4:00 am watching the results show to find that no one was eliminated. I was not pleased. I told everyone that I prefer watching Children In Need rather than the Idol Gives Back telethon. At a minimum I know all the performers at Children In Need, and their performances were much better than anyone on Idol Gives Back. Very disappointing.

Hello Jeff---well I was very comscious of Jordan's breathing, after your comment, but quite honestly, I liked her version of this song. I did not like Lakisha too much--I think she needs to lighten up!!! Melinda as usual was great--the 3 men were Ok, I guess.
I watched half of it, and when it came down to the last 3, and Ryan keeping on about the shock result, I guessed that nobody would go !!
Parts of the show were very moving---I liked Carrie Underwood singing "I'll stand by you", but apart from "Earth, Wind and Fire" noone else really impressed me. And as you say --"Children in Need" does it better---but at the end of the day, I am sure that they raised a great deal of money for this project.

I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

Oh dear-I really did not like American Idol tonight---I knew none of the songs---nor did I like any of them. I am sure that I will like next week better, with Barry Gibb.
I think it was fairly predictable who was going to go. It is looking more and more as though the last 3 will be the girls. Isn't that what happened the year that Fantasia won??? I still think Melinda will win, with --probably---Lakisha as runner up.

I just watched the Sunday repeat show of American Idol and quite enjoyed it.
I haven't watched in a while, so now we are down to the final few. I definately thought the girls were the better singers, and so it seems did everyone else as only one guy left now, which I would have preferred to have been Phil.
I think my favouite is still Lakisha to win though.

"Massachussets was also George's favourite Bee Gee song--but I have to say that it was one of the few Bee Gee songs that I did NOT like.
I think Melinda ought to win---but that does not mean to say that she will....
