Well, looks like we've all made a few mistakes recently!! Let's forgive and forget and start with a clean sheet all round..
Matt's song was definately played during the service anyway, but maybe not at the start, which was reported by Ben Brown on the news bulletin we heard.

That's right Marian, and, according to the Daily Express report, "Over The Rainbow " was sung by the Cathedral Choir, songs from Tony Bennett, Matt Monro, and Frank Sinatra were played and the mourners left the Cathedral to the strains of George Formby's "I'm Leaning On The Lamp Post At The Corner Of The Street" that summed up his love of Lancashire and his former club Everton. :D
We did see the video clip on the internet and Frank Mclintock spoke his tribute and said... Dying is no big deal, living is the trick.

It might be so,Robert-but as I say'I'll never understand it!'.
I guess it's all down to taste, good or bad.
However,I have no problem with Matt's FOR ALL WE KNOW or SMILE-or just about any other Sinatra song(except That's Life').
