Hi Marian

Maybe you meant me, rather than Robert?
Anyway, men? Take footy too seriously? Surely not!? :)
Maybe it's best if I say Leeds Utd mean to me the same as Johnny Mathis to you. Does that help explain?
I hope so!
However, I would imagine you would get a better nights entertainment out of Mr Mathis though than I get watching Leeds play football at the moment!

My wife doesn't understand how upset I get with Leeds, & I do have children though who frequently bring me back down to earth and help put things into prospective. (Until the next Leeds game that is ;))

Robert, great assesment of the Cup Final, sometimes I wish we could see a final that was Portsmouth vs Derby or something, just a change from the big clubs all the time and they may play a bit more adventurously.

Hi Gray---I did actually mean my posting for Robert-----He had suggested in an earlier posting, that maybe I was getting tooooooo serious about the "Joseph" show---which I will admit that I am---so I was just teasing him---like he does with us.

I know how you feel about Leeds, and I am really sorry that they did not do better this season. But there is always next year !!!

Me getting toooooooooooo serious Marian, no it's not in my nature

Gray, glad you liked my FA Cup final assessment. I agree that when two "lesser" teams reach the final, it is soooo much more execiting to watch. I bet you are so glad Leeds have had the ten point deduction this season rather than next season  I hope Leeds don't do a Nottingham Forest and find it hard to climb back up again  I notice Juventus have climbed straight back into Serie A.

Oh sorry Marian, for getting confused, I shall keep me mouth shut in future!

Robert, Leeds must be back as champions of League 1 next season, nothing else will do. That would be my message to Mr Wise. But, I know in reality it will be very difficult, ala Forest.
Speaking of Forest, there is a new book out called 'The Damned United' all about Brian Clough's 44 day reign at Leeds.
It's a very good read, the language is explicit, don't know if that would put you off, but if you like reading biographies and a football one at that, I can certainly recommend it.

Maybe there's a new thread for the forum, we've had what are you watching/listening too, could we have 'what are you reading at the moment'?
I wonder if there are any book readers out there?

Hi Gray, Harry here, i understand your feelings re. Leeds United, they are a Premier league team waiting for a saviour to restore them to their glory days. At my age i remember the respect and pride the team had
when Revie was in charge. Leeds have the facilities and supporters to get back to the top again. There are plenty of once great sides in the lower divisions all struggling to achieve their former glory, many will never get back, for the simple reason of local support. Leeds have this and will return to their place in the soccer elite. From where you are there is only one way to go and that is up. Keep smiling, and praying for somebody like Brian Clough, he is the type of manager they want now.

Marian/Mike

Many thanks for your comments. To be honest, I hadn't realised I'd reached 300 but I can now see that I did that this morning.

Well done on reaching the 300 score Jon 8) going back to the "Holy Bible" - some of the tracks are very good, but others are a bit too "different" - also the spoken words before each song are a bit "scary" (to me anyway) - you mentioned "Faster" - which I do like, along with "Revol"
