"JOSEPH---ANY DREAM WILL DO"
I haven't been watching the Joesph show but I have been watching "Doctor Who", of which I am a long time fan, which is on just before it. Mariana, I shouldn't worry about taking Joseph too seriously as you couldn't be worse than some Who fans. Take, for example, this quote from a review of the latest episode on Saturday by a fan on the Doctor Who website, Outpost Gallifrey: "The episode is also another voyage into the realm of the feminine principle, with both McDonnell and Martha crucial to the resolution of the crisis. Martha is Dante's Beatrice, guiding the Doctor through Purgatory as an an agent of sacrifice through love. Both women become what Plato describes as "the universal author of all things beautiful and right, parent of light and of the lord of light in this visible world, and the immediate source of reason and truth in the intellectual...'" Now THAT'S taking things too seriously!! And some say it's a children's programme....

We couldn't believe that Daniel was voted off either Marian, but perhaps the voting public were influenced by ALW 's comment to Daniel which was.....i don't know if the people in the audience would want to hear your kind of voice for about Two hours, which we thought was disgraceful and totally wrong anyway. Daniel has a lovely voice.
They obviously need to keep One or Two of the less hopefuls in to make the final voting easier.
It's now difficult to say who will be the final choice. We thought from the start that Craig looked the Joseph, but he has never shown the same talent as the others, but now who knows.
Jon, we don't know if you remember the first ever series of Dr Who but we haven't watched it since William Hartnell played the part.

I know the viewers voted Daniel in the bottom two--I still cannot figure out why---but it was ALW who decided that Daniel should go, and Lewis stay.
As you say Daniel has a great voice--Lewis is ok--but somehow lacks charisma--I know he is only 17--perhaps that is why.
It is still Lee for me to win--although I did not like his song on Saturday !
Who chooses these songs !!!!!

Just to say, I was a HUGE Dr Who fan when I was a lad, and I went to see Tom Baker launch the Dr Who comic back in the 1970's at the Merrion Centre in Leeds.
He gave me a jelly baby, which I treasured and placed in a test tube upon my return home.
It did keep the jelly baby in fairly good nick for some years until the poor jelly baby did finally evolve into a manky state, but I still recall the yellow jelly baby with some fondness
Tom Baker was great by the way, very eccentric and a real character.
My favourite episodes as a child was The Green Death with Jon Pertwee, and a Tom Baker effort called Planet of Evil, don't know if you are young enough to remember either of them!

Hi Gray
Good to see another Dr Who fan here. I certainly do remember The Green Death and Planet of Evil. Green Death is already out on DVD and I believe Planet of Evil is coming out in September. Tom Baker was my (and most people's) favourite Doctor. I often watch the old stories, including the black and white ones from the 60s with William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton. I guess there's a certain nostalgia element to it and of course the special effects are nothing like those in the revived series now showing on BBC1, but the stories and, often, the acting make up for this. In fact some people even say that the effects in the new series are too good as the appeal of Doctor Who in the old days was as much in the cardboard sets and dodgy costumes as in the scripts (though this is not a view I share).

We were surprised that Craig was voted off the Joseph show tonight, specially as we thought it was his best performance of the series, and more so as Lewis was in the sing off last week.
Craig actually sang better than Ben in the sing-off but Ben is a better all round performer and the Roy Orbison song was a difficult song to sing. but now the voting is becoming easier.
From now on the singing could be easy enough for them, but one wonders what task ALW is going to set them next, something like swimming in a suit of armour.

I thought that Ben should have gone tonight--ALW admitted that Ben did not sing so well--but eliminated Craig because he smiled --I do not get it !!
Great show again tonight--Lee gave a different take on Daydream Believer, although I thought he looked and sounded a little nervous singing with Josh Groban. I think next week will be between Ben and Lewis to go.
