Not sure if you meant JJ seemed a good idea at the time or buying all those records, but JJ must be better than Amy Whiner...   Robert, who won an Ivor Novello award last week.
How these Two names can be mentioned in the same breath is beyond our belief. , but there you go. To each his own. :D :D

There was a very interesting article on Ivor Novello in the Daily Mail on Friday---comparing him as the Andrew Lloyd Webber of the day.

Unfortunately, because Ivor also starred in the shows--when he died, so did the shows---apparently !!

George worked in the theatre part time for many years as a doorman-and he saw all Ivor Novellos shows, and really loved them--and became very familiar with all the music etc. Plus he saw Ivor Novello and all the other stars many times. And the Royal Family at the Premiers etc.

That must have been a great feeling for George to have seen the likes of Ivor Novello and to have seen those magical shows with those beautiful songs.
We have a postcard that Ivor sent to a friend where he is holding the newspaper headlining the news of his wartime song "Keep The Homefires Burning."
A wonderful composer. We have all the music.

Do you mean "Libre" L&H  Russell said his show received an email from a certain Don Black a couple of weeks ago.

I did mean a bad idea about buying all those CDs, not about JJ

Forgot to mention the weather. So has it been warm enough for everyone today :?:   L&H did tell us a while ago that we are going to have a HEATWAVE this summer :? but they didn't say that winter would come back first, virtually in "flaming June"  you cannot believe everything you read

The wind's howling here right now Robert, but hang on it isn't June yet. A lot could happen in the next few days.
Don Black was on Eric 's show today Robert. Connie Francis being his special guest.
You generally catch up on the Listen Again Robert. Matt's song is early, but it's a lively show today.
We like the caller who can't wait for Eric to say, Sing me a song bubellah, and we have to patiently hold on while he sets up his backing music. It would be a real blow if one of these times Eric didn't ask him.
And another caller who is absolutely crazy about Connie's song " Who's Sorry Now" and eagerly tells her so, and is going to sing it with her as a duet and starts singing a completely different song.

Very rainy here today--and chilly. But it was only on Thursday 4 days ago, that it was baking hot, very humid--like a hot July day. !!!

It is no wonder the garden is confused--let alone all the birds and bees

It hasn't been a bad day in Blackpool today, in fact the whole weekend here has been better than the original forecast. 8)
