Dean: That's interesting that your Dad grew up in Rockferry and now it's immortalised in Duffy's song and album. I hope you have heard the song ... it's fabulous!
I'm not sure that Bert Kaempfurt recorded A Walk In The Black Forest. The hit version was by Horst Jankowski. I was so happy to finally find a CD of Mr Jankowski's greatest hits at HMV in London in February.
That song about North Virginia and London Town is "Without You" by The Feeling. Actually I met them at a Borders Bookstore in Northern Virginia (nobody says "North Virginia") when they were in the US trying to "make it" and promoting their last album. They were great guys, especially the drummer Paul, who got me free tickets to their concert that evening.

Sadly they never did "make it" and given the poor critical response to their latest album, I believe their career in America is over.
Since we're on geography names I'll submit the B side to the latest release by Girls Aloud, "Can't Speak French":
Hoxton Heroes
I believe Hoxton is a hip trendy area in London north of Shoreditch (and we all know who is from Shoreditch

).
