I love that song-I only heard it for the first time on the "From Matt Monro with Love" cd. I may have it somewhere else, but I never really "listened" to it, if you know what I mean.

It is wonderful to be able to load up all your favourite music. I am going away on Thursday, and i would be lost without my ipod for the journey, and I also take my speakers so that I can listen to my music in my hotel room.

Going back to the bad weather, I blame the Glastonbury Festival "jinx" for it, as the weather is always the same (very wet) at this time of year when the festival takes place (every 2 years)

Not only Glastonbury cursing the weather, but also Ascot this week ad Wimbledon looming too!

Is it just this little part of Kent that is getting good weather-it was sunny , blue skies and really hot today--although they forecast rain for later--but they have been saying that for over a week !!

Hi Marian - - it has been a lovely day here but now has clouded over and I think a storm is brewing! We need it though as it is really clammy

We've just had a thunderstorm over Reading. It's passed over pretty quickly though, and the sun is shining again.
We live near the Atomic weapons Establishment at Aldermaston, and today they've been testing their laser device. :? :? Maybe that brought the thunder and lightning!! who knows?

We got a great storm here too Marian - probably the same one you did! I was just wondering whether I needed to water the plants outside, when it started! Another job saved! Do they tell you when they are testing their Laser at Aldermaston then?!

We had a smallish storm here tonight--some lightning-no thunder--some rain.

Didn't anyone down south get all that rain on Thursday/ Friday, if not "you are very lucky people" as usual

Mike, Ascot and Wimbledon seem to have good weather every two years. But not the year when "Glasto" is taking place  that's the Glastonbury effect for you.

It's been warm and sunny for most of the day and then a crash of thunder early this evening changed everything.
As Mike said It's Ascot this week and Ladies day I believe on Thursday.
Clare Baldwin will as usual be doing what she's good at, making Willie Carson look smaller than he already is, :) and trying to compete with the elegantly dressed females at which she's equally as bad at.
It's a great annual event though.

Did you see her pink uniform today L&H   by the way her name is Claire Balding, she is the daughter of former trainer Ian Balding, who trained the great Mill Reef  :D she took over the presenting duties from Julian Wilson a few years back.
