Hi Gray, we had also seen the Mario Lanza documentary on BBC 4.
We've already now had Josephine Baker and Doris Day on BBC 2 from the Legends series so let's hope for Matt soon.
We'll just be grateful that they show it anyway, but if they show it later than 7o'clock in the evening it may probably serve better.

Hi Lena & Harry

I agree, it's been a long time coming for the Matt Monro/Legends program to air on terrestrial telly.
I have told everyone I know, 6 times each, to watch the program!
And the thing is I know nobody will be disappointed.

:D The Lanza documentary was a 'good watch'-a few years ago,Placido Domingo hosted a rather more'in-depth'biog.
Later than 7pm is no good for us old'uns,H&L.

Hello Mark and everyone. Mark 7pm is not late, why that's tea time, isn't it. Well maybe just after tea time then. What about early supper time.??

You don't look too old Mark, well you don't compared to Lena and Harry.  I bet your up late when you attend Tony Bennett concert's. He will not finish while about nearly midnight, will he.?? Mind you that's early compared to Ken Dodd concert's, I believe.

My favourite actress/dancer Eleanor Powell didn't finish a dance sequence for one of her film's until they got it right, at 2am in the morning, and she never uttered a word of complaint to the director.

Hi Mark there have been stories by the dozen, and documentaries as long as your arm about Mario Lanza and his death at the age of 38, some claiming that he was knocked off by the mob, but Al Martino's daughter Alison who spent weeks with Damon, Mario's son, and Damons friend going through his life and illness history, and associates, photo's, newspaper clippings, and produced a documentary about four years ago on E -Channel American tv, part of a series called "Mysteries And Scandals" hoping to finally put to rest that without a trace of a doubt, he died following a third heart attack.
Robert, If Tony Bennett can stay up and keep going at almost 80 like he does then Mark has no problem to keep up, but now as for us old and ugly ones,  we are sometimes dozing at 7o'clock in the evening after a meal,  but we'll be awake on Monday.
Now also Robert, about Ellie, Got what right at 2.o'clock in the morning with the director , pull the other one.

Hi Lena and Harry and all. Yes we must all keep awake on Monday 7pm mustn't we. :D :D
I think Mark was pulling our leg a little don't you, unless he REALLY is older than he look's (a bit like me then).
Lena and Harry your not old and ugly (well maybe not ugly anyway).

Ellie wouldn't get upto anything with a director at 2am in the morning, as she's as pure as the driven snow. Or would she.???? No of course she wouldn't, it was a "dance sequence" she had to get right. I think.!!!!

:D 7pm isn't really late,it's just that I am up very early most days and 'drop off' unless there's something special on.
Tony is a late riser so has no trouble keeping late hours. Mind you,he has limitless energy-I can't believe he's 80 in August.
