CHARLES AZNAVOUR

Post by hpooch » Mon Aug 23, 2010 3:41 am

I just received his DVD - "Charles Aznavour at Carnegie Hall" recorded in 1995 when he was 71 Years Old -- Unbelievable Performance with most of the songs he wrote himself & singing in French, English & even Spanish! He sings with such feeling and he is up there with Sinatra, Matt, and Edith Piaf. You can view this DVD on "You Tube" if you want to see vocal greatness!

Well, to each his own Henry, , but did you REALLY mean that... . UP WITH Matt, Sinatra and Edith Piaf,
Quite liked his recordings of "She," and "Dance In The Old Fashioned Way " but like Sacha Distel and Maurice Chevalier who couldn't sing to save their lives, I can live without it. :D
