I think my Matt-track would have to be Walk Away........

Never fails to make the hairs on my neck stand up on end.......

I gave someone this chance very many years ago, but they didn't walk....

Liza Minnelli in those years was at the top of her game. She would appear in concert with these 2 gentlemen and then take a cab across town and record with the Pet Shop Boys.

The result of course was RESULTS, a chart album and
4 hit singles......Losing My Mind, Love Pains, So Sorry I Said & Don't Drop Bombs.

I have the music videos and I must say I thought she looked good like a proper pop star. However, she did not capitalise on this pop success and went back to her Broadway roots.

Lena & Harry - I'm extremely envious. My parents never took me to see Sammy Davis Jnr when he performed in concert in Cleveland Ohio. And when I moved to Washington, he had stopped performing. But I saw him many times on Johnny Carson, Dinah Shore, and Merv Griffin shows. (These were our Parkinson shows. You are probably familiar with Dinah Shore's songs; The Gypsy and Blues In The Night were two of her best.) There will never be anyone quite like Sammy Davis Jnr.

My tip-top recording for today is "Till The End Of Time". I hadn't played it in a few months, but listened to it driving to work this morning. Everything about the recording is perfection: the sensitive instrumentation and the tender vocals. I cannot believe how anyone can bring so much colour and warmth to a song. It brought tears to my eyes.

Hi Paul and everyone. Beautiful song "Till The End Of Time". But i'm afraid you have broken the games rules.  Mariana44 who started this subject said ONE only ONE. But I think we'll let you off, this time. :) :)

I apologise. She did say "ONE and ONLY ONE" in her first message, but the subject is Your Tip-Top Recording, and that can change daily! I don't want to reveal my very favourite until I've had a chance to compile my top 40 countdown of Matt Monro songs.

That's fine, Robert. As long as I can have a full English breakfast in the morning while listening to Helen Reddy and Matt Monro!

Hi Robert--thanks for trying to enforce my rules--I had a feeling that it was going to be hard to stick to--well done to everyone who has stuck to the rules--even I am tempted to break them--but I won't---I don't want you telling me off too

Hi Paul, do you include black pudding to your full English breakfast ?
If you dont then you haven't lived.
Our Robert comes from oop North where breakfast appears to be a complete disaster without black pudding. (Well it's seemed that way when we've been up there visiting relatives)
It has been said that to eat black pudding, you need the heart and stomach of a concrete elephant. Well both of us must have it.
What's your verdict Robert??

I'm not sure whether I've seen black pudding on the English breakfast buffets at the hotels I've visited. Last year I tried Marmite for the first time. I guess it's an acquired taste! I'll stick with the sausage, bacon, potatoes, tomatoes, and mushrooms.

I'll try the black pudding the next time I'm in England.

Wish I could. Sounds tasty. I'll settle for a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel! :D

Wow Edgar--that sounds good--reminds me of being in New York and going to the Bagel shop, and the smoked salmon was in layers about an inch thick!! We are lucky here to get 1 wafer thin slice!!

Hello Lena and Harry, Edgar, Paul, Mariana44 and everyone. I wouldn't tell you off Mariana44, as it is your game, so you can break the rules if you want to. I was just pointing the ONE and ONE rule out to Paul.

By the way Lena and Harry, I don't like Black Pudding. :) :)

Hi all, yes the smoked salmon and creamed cheese bagel is beginning to have more appeal than black pudding since we've discovered about it's ingredients. :( :(
