Hi Gray. Yes, "Night of the Demon" is scary and, above all, atmospheric. Best watched with the lights down on a cold winter's night. It certainly does have cult status.

I had a pile of ironing to do this morning, in preparation for the next few days, so I took the chance of watching a dvd, I just bought the other week--called "Words and Music" the story of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz
Hart--I cannot believe I have never seen this film before-well I can, in a way, because although I have been trying for ages to get it, I only just managed to buy it from Us-luckily my dvd will play region 1.

A great film with all this fabulous music from 2 of my favourite composers, and some wonderful stars-many of them no longer with us--Mickey Rooney played Lorenz Hart--just so sad at the end when he died---Also starred Perry Como, Judy Garland, June Allyson, Gene Kelly, Janet Leigh. Just a really great film--I loved it.
Lena Horne, and many more---

Hi Gray-I do not know when it was last on Tv---but if your dvd player will play region 1 dvds, it should be easy to get hold of.

Hi Gray

Yes, I noticed it was on BBC2 rather late - 12:10 - way past my bedtime. But I have it on video anyway. Hope you caught it.

'What To Do' - my all time favourite Matt song.
I'm desperately waiting until the movie 'Woman Times Seven' gets a dvd release so I can watch it. :(

Hi Gray

Glad you enjoyed Night of the Demon. It's an atmospheric film, isn't it? Probably all the better for being in black and white.

Watched "Sunset Boulevard" on DVD two nights ago. Very good film, I remember watching it on TV as a young lad...........I seem to remember it kind of scared me in those days  (but not as much as "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane") William Holden and Gloria Swanson were perfect choices for their roles in the movie, especially the often married Gloria Swanson, who played the role of Norma Desmond so superbly. She won many awards for her role in the 1950 film, but didn't win the Oscar, even though she was nominated. I thought she deserved the Oscar.
