Thank you so much for the warm welcome!!

I have been working as a taxi driver here in Cobh, Co. Cork Ireland for over 14 years, but in the past 2 years I have lucky enough to release my first album and have followed this with concerts both in Ireland and America. My most recent concert was in Cork and I was so humbled to receive a standing ovation when I did a special dedication to Matt Monro, whose music has inspired me for a long time. Here is that song....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrCINh5bMHQ

A warm welcome from me, too, Darragh to this vibrant
forum; thanks for posting your performance of
The Impossible Dream, which I'm sure every member
will have thoroughly enjoyed. My eureka moment in respect
of Matt Monro occurred circa 1957 while visiting
my country cousins in Brinny, a few miles from
my home town of Bandon. My proud claim to be
the longest-serving devotee of Matt's music
currently remains uncontested:

SPRING SONG
('the first fine careless rapture')

My delectable Delius moment,
like when our great music virtuoso
was moved On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring,
was as an adolescent (should that be adorescent?)
on hearing on a radio show
our great vocalist Matt Monro sing ...
