X-FACTOR 2007
The Lounge

I agree, I enjoyed the X-Factor show , and the lady who lost her husband
was very brave to show her talent.
I guess we wait to see what comes next week

Simon Cowell is so amusing with his facial expressions

I felt so sorry for Poor Emma--singing "My heart will go on ".
She looked like a little girl in a party frock for the first time--even stanind and holding her dress the way that little girls do---then forgot her words.
Simon was so right--her parents were just giving her false hopes--she was never going to get anywhere.
She was on Breakfast tv on Monday--and I got to the part where she said she had to get through 4 auditions to get that far--then my TV went off for some reason!
But it makes one wonder---what are the ones like that they rejected on the first lot of auditions !! Perhaps they had a voice like mine

I watched X Factor last weekend. I wasn't impressed with the singers. Is there always so much crying? The worst part was the backing soundtrack which seemed to feature every sappy MOR song from the past 30 years, such as Don't Know Much by Linda Ronstadt. I know Simon Cowell loves this stuff, but I can't stand it. The only pleasing song I heard was "HoppÃpolla" by Icelandic band Sigur Rós.

Well tonight on X Factor Dermot O' Leary presents the first of Two programmes in which the judges invite the remaining 24 acts to their homes in L.A., Dublin, Ibiza and Marbella to make their final selections There the contestants must make the most of their last chance to impress.
Well good luck because we will be watching Strictly Come Dancing.

I feel very underwhelmed by X Factor this year. Dermot O' Leary has hardly been on, and when he is, he does not seem to be showing much personality.
None of the contestants seem to be showing any charisma--most spend half their time crying over something or other.
And as for the 2 groups made of rejects from the final 12, and finishing in the top 3--it is just a bad joke ! I wonder how those who made it to the last 6, then were sent home feel about that. To be quite honest, I think that they were desperate to get any half decent groups--as one minute Simon said it was an awful idea--the next he had them both in his final 3--I do not get it. As for the girl disqualified for having a prison record-that makes me mad, as she took the place of someone else.
I think the over 25's are also struggling, and I think the winner will be with either Sharon or Dannii in the under 25's.
But quite honestly, they all need to step up a bit in the live finals.

When you told us that one of your sisters is only interested in Westlife, you weren't kidding.
I had no idea they had calendars, but anything to make money for Simon Cowell.
Actually next week is one of the biggest chart battles in years with the following in competition for #1: Leona Lewis, Take That, Britney Spears, and McFly. Even the Backstreet Boys are releasing a single that week, but it's not in competition for #1. It will be close, but I fear that McFly might make #1 as they have many young fans. I can't stand their voices or their songs. The Leona Lewis song is actually better than I expected. But I don't hear anything special about her voice; she sounds so similar to Mariah Carey.

I think it is Louis Walsh who manages Westlife-I do not know if Simon Cowell is also involved.
She does like other singers too--Donny Osmond, David Cassidy, Barry Manilow.
Her husband, Patrick, was a huge Pink Floyd fan !!!
