Just enjoyed the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary concert from the O2 that arrived yesterday. A wonderful experience. Always loved the show - very emotional :D

That is on my 'to get' list Marian- LOVE the show :D

We have just watched the CLIFF RICHARD 'BOLD AS BRASS' DVD.

Have to say it is excellent and we enjoyed every moment particularly as many members of our SYD LAWRENCE ORCHESTRA were part of the orchestra chosen to accompany Cliff on this live concert from the Albert Hall.
Great stuff! :D :D

I've just discovered Alfie Boe, who takes the lead as Jean Valjean in the Les Mis anniversary concert. I'd not heard of him before but I've already pre-ordered his new album "Bring Him Home" which is released just after Christmas. :D

We watched "Lassie Come Home" last night. Lovely film, haven't seen it for years. :)

We saw Alfie Bow in La Boheme last year Marian. A very good singer. He has been on TV recently. I think it was on the Alan Titchmarsh show.
Another talented singer who came from humble beginnings, worked as a car sprayer and mechanic. Nice to see them become successful.

It's years since we watched Lassie Come Home too John. I love those movies. That one and "Son Of Lassie" :)

Lassie fims can still make me cry. Great movies!

I've ordered the box set of Harry Potter movies, as our grandchildren will soon be at the HP stage and I've only seen the first one myself.
They were reduced by £60 odd quid, so I thought I'd grab myself a bargain.
:D

What a bargain, Marian!

My eldest daughter Holly is also discovering the books and movies at the moment. :)

Been watching some of the Twilight Zone episodes over the past few nights, the original ones from the early 60's. Some of them are pretty good, but the odd one or two are a bit far fetched.

Has Mr Potter arrived yet, Marian?

John, never seen a Twilight Zone episode, only watched the film.
I think your views on the shows are mine on the film!

Going back to " Les Mis" 25th Anniversary dvd--does it differ much from the 10th Anniversary recording ?? That was the one with Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean.

It's very different Marian, a much bigger and more sensational perfomance and including a lot more of the actual show.
A specially designed set, a fantastic cast, orchestra and chorus, and a really appreciative audience.
Alfie Boe is Jean Valjean, and he's wonderful.
The original cast and 10 year celebration casts are also featured at the end, as are the writers, and of course Cameron Mackintosh.
I really enjoyed it. :D :D
