The Rocky Monster Show....Help? :D

Post by operathephantom » Sun Oct 21, 2007 1:19 pm

Hello everyone.

I write the drama shows for my school, and the most recent is my own take on 'The Rocky Monster Show' -NOT 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' --too risque, apparently! :D

Anyway, we have been rehearsing the show recently with the music with vocals on the CD, but I was told last lesson that we need karaoke tracks for all the songs now....I have managed to get them all, except two! They are: 'The Time Warp' and 'The Monster Mash.'

I do have one of the Time Warp, but it is a midi file and not professional enough, now I wondered if anyone here has any of these two tracks? -If you did, I would be eternally greatful!

Best,
Seb

It's great that you write the drama shows for your school. I have the Bobby 'Boris' Pickett recording of Monster Mash. I noticed a karaoke CD of Halloween Hits on amazon.co.uk. Or you may be able to find it at a party store. I've never heard of The Time Warp.

Paul - the Time Warp is the dance from the cult show/film 'The Rocky Horror Picture' show, which I can understand would be a bit too risque for a school production (unless you want to fail your next OFSTED  )

Time warping involves (according to the songs lyrics)
Just a jump to the left, then a step to the right
You put your hands on your hips
And bring your knees in tight
But its the pelvic thrust, that really drives you insane
Lets do the Time Warp again

Click here for a clip from the 1974 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' film starring Tim Curry, Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon - plus Charles Gray, Little Nell and Christopher Biggins (the latter is only relevant to UK fans of Rentaghost and Pantomime, leading to the line in Extras 'Christopher Biggins was busy!)

Sorry phantom, that is no help to you whatsoever, although it may help with the dance routine!

Hi again Phantom - both of the tracks you want have a Karaoke Version available on i-tunes. The only problem you will have with i-tunes is that it will be protected so it will only play on the PC or i-pod that is licenced for i-tunes. Have you checked good ole Woolies out - they often have karaoke versions on their shelves?

Hi, thanks for that.

Managed to get them from iTunes and it's all sorted now.

Thankyou! :D
