We've been listening to Mark Porter's album "This is the Moment".
Great album. I'm sure you'll all enjoy it.
Available from Mark's website -
www.mark-porter.net/index.htm

Since listening to it, we are looking forward even more to seeing Mark in concert with "The Kings of Swing" at the Beck Theatre, Hayes on the 29th of October.

Marian

I cannot stop listening to 'If There Ever Is A Next Time' - I think it is wonderful, it really highlights Matt's ability to sing so gently and also so powerfully with feeling.

I love the arrangement also.

No Marian, can't say that we have heard of any other vocalists with this one either.

Listening to Ray Charles "The Genius Loves Company".

The Diana Krall & Ray Charles duet You Don't Know Me was an Adult Contemporary#2 hit. Good pairing.

I also like Gladys Knight with Ray singing Heaven Help Us All. Gladys has not lost her range or passion with age.

I think Mariana is already familiar with the Johnny Mathis/Ray Charles pairing on Over The Rainbow. Do you like it as much as I do?

Another good song is Do I Ever Cross Your Mind with Bonnie Raitt. James Taylor sounds like he had fun recording Sweet Potato Pie with Ray.

However I did not like Willie Nelson/Ray Charles singing It Was A Very Good Year nor the opening track Here We Go Again pairing Norah Jones with Ray.

I'm just loading my i-pod with The Carpenters Greatest Hits and 'Superstar' is playing.
What a gorgeous song.
And Karen Carpenters vocals are so heart wrenching.

So sad to hear her voice :(
