Yes, it was John. He was performing in the Twenty's and Thirty's, but became more popular in the late Forties and Fifties, and more so with his weekly radio shows with his signature tune...In A Shady Nook, By A Babbling Brook. :) :)

Don't miss Eric Halls programme on Radio Essex either.Loads of mentions of Matt while Eric was interviewing Mike Winters.He also played 'How Do You Do'

Missed this on Sunday due to the footie on tele Sandra, but have listened to it now. Nice programme with Mike Winters as guest and Eric played Matt's "How Do You Do" that was actually written by Mike and Bernie Winters. The programme finished with Matt's "Walk Away" :) :)
