I have been listening to Ronnie Carroll and Patti Page tonight. Interestingly, they both made recordings of "Say Wonderful Things". :D :D

I had a feeling that we were missing a lot of the actual show-I do not know why they bothered to put it on, and then spend more time on Interviews, than on the awards.

Yes Robert, it was a Eurovision entry for Ronnie Carroll. It is a nice song. He also had another Eurovision entry with Ring a Ding Girl, I think they both came in at a respecatable fourth place. :D A bit different to now a days.

Mike, who hasn't posted on here in a while said he likes this year's UK entry sung by Blue and thinks it has a good chance. :D I haven't heard it yet, but 'pigs might fly' springs to mind!

I am surprised that I have not heard it yet-after all the publicity--quite honestly, till they change the voting system, I rerally do not think we have much of a chance of even being in the top 10, let alone winning.

Their song can be seen on a video clip on BBC . It's called "I CAN ".
It's one of those songs that could get the supporters shouting them on. :) :)

Did anyone listen to Barry Manilow last night--he is doing a series of shows [10] I think on Radio 2 every Tuesday at 10.00 , called "They write the songs"--each one featuring a different great composer--like Irving Berlin, Jules Styne, Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter--etc etc etc---Last night--the first show--was George Gershwin---telling some info about his life, plus of course some of the songs he had composed.

I loved it !!!!!!

Just caught up with "Blue"--I can---I guess it is Ok as a pop song, but I do not see it winning--but I would love it to-I really like Duncan.

We generally like to listen to programmes with all the great songwriters involved but completely forgot it last night.
Tonight at 10'oclock on BBC Radio 2 it's all about Cliff Richard, his life and his music.
He is being interviewed by Penny Smith.
We appreciate some of his songs, but he's not a particular favourite of ours.
Much preferred Marty Wilde the original on Oh Boy.

I am sure I heard that for Cliff's new project he is recording an album of duets with soul stars of yester-year (such as Freda Payne).
Maybe he was talking about that.

Although he isn't my favourite artist either, you have to say Cliff's fans are remarkable and have ensured his star has continued to burn over the decades.
