Listening to Matts wonderful Hollywood and Broadway CD tonight

"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

Did anyone hear Matt on Chris Evans show this morning-he played "On Days like these" and mentioned about him being a bus driver and his route--and he said he would play more Matt later--but I was too busy, feeding the dogs, feeding the cat-rescuing the remains of the cat food from the dogs, trying to get the dogs away from the cat, letting the cat out, and trying to keep the dogs in---just a normal morning !!!!!
Oh-then I had my own breakfast !!

Well, you can be forgiven for not hearing the programme out Marian, but at least the dogs didn't nick your breakfast.

Only because I keep it out of their way--they love cereal and yoghurt!!

A busy morning for you Marian!
Yes we were utterly amazed to hear Chris Evans play Matt this morning.
We reckon it was the influence of Moira Stewart that swung it.She commented on his 'silky' voice which prompted Chris to say they would play more later which they did.
We had a compilation of Walk Away,Yesterday,Born Free and From Russia With Love

Listening to Cara Mia by Jay and the Americans at the moment, quite different to David Whitfields version, but great.

I was sorry to miss the rest of Matt on Chris Evans--trouble is, it is such a long show-I often miss bits and pieces--I think he has played Matt before.

What is going on-missed the beginning but Chris Evans has just played Michele
by Matt.
At the end he said 'Michele and Michele Monro, how's that for a sandwich'??

Have just been listening to Margaret Whiting tonight, an album she recorded in the nineties called "Then and Now", some new songs here plus a lovely new version of Moonlight In Vermont.

Just been listening to Vic Damone and Jay and the Americans.

Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Will look out for that one John as we have never heard such a beautiful version of MOONLIGHT IN VERMONT as sung by MARGARET WHITING

From Harry--Margaret Whitings beautiful rendition of "Moonlight in Vermont" is accompanied by the great Billy Butterfield on trumpet. Also, on Margarets recording of "My Ideal". Billy was one of the greatest trumpeters of the "Big Band" era.
Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Thanks Harry I didn't realise that.As you say a fabulous trumpet player.
My late Dad was a local trumpet player and we had Billy Butterfield records playing in our house when I was growing up. Not my cup of tea then I suppose
but must have rubbed off without me knowing
