THE CD" MUSIC ABOUT TOWN"

Post by usafret » Fri Dec 10, 2010 10:24 pm

HELLO RICHARD.
THIS IS ABOUT THE CD "MUSIC ABOUT TOWN" WITH THE STEVE RACE QUINTET

I'LL BET THERE ARE A LOT OF DEDICATED FANS THAT WOULD GIVE A ARM AND LEG FOR A COPY OF THIS.
WHEN THE COPYRIGHT EXPIRES (IF IT HASN'T ALREADY) WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE FOR YOU AND MICHELE TO REPRODUCE THIS FOR US.
THANKS
ED

We'll bear it in mind Ed, but in any case the songs from thsi broadcast will more than likely be included on "The Rarer Monro" in the future.

Mr. Moore,
Any idea if and/or when the copyright expires? I really like the CD and I like the idea of having one of 50......Oh, by the way, it was me who wrote to the studio to tell whoever read the letter that I had been searching so long for a singer like Mr. Monro, and then to find that he had passed away 25 years earlier, it was such a shock, because I wanted to write to him and let him know that he was the greatest....The letter is probably sitting in a letterbox somewhere on an island in the Atlantic. I posted it with 44 cent stamp......Did not know it was 98. I will not make that mistake again.......

It's a bit of a grey area. The copyright expires in some parts of the world before others.

It is also a case of when the copyright runs from. These are all legal things we have to clear before the songs can be released in greater numbers.

The good news is that most, if not all, of Matt's performances from this show will more than likely be on The Rarer Monro - although we are a long way from a finalized track list for that yet, and have to get clearences for some things.
