Michael Parkinson
Sarah Kennedy mentioned in her show biz news report that Michael Parkinson has decided to quit his radio programme as well.
Any suggestions about who should replace him? I nominate our very own John, Jon, Mike, Robert, or Gray.
They are young (which is so important to the BBC
) and they will certainly play our kind of music ... well, just as long as Gray leaves his Elvis, Eagles, and David Cassidy records at home.

That's interesting Paul, we hadn't heard that Michael Parkinson was leaving his radio show.
Oh Well !!! life will go on and you are probably right. The guys on our forum could give it a shot.
By the way tomorrow is the Brass Band concerts final at the Royal Albert Hall and the Black Dyke Band is one of the top contenders.

You cheeky monkey, Paul
I promise, if I get the job, I'll give you prior notice of any David Cassidy songs about to be played.
(I've just asked Holly what song she would want me to play on the radio if I were a DJ and she chose 'Born Free'.
Obviously I have had no input on her musical taste whatsoever, totally subjective)
I am going to miss Parky on a Sunday, lunchtimes just aren't going to be the same without him
Gray

This Sunday the 2nd of December is Michael Parkinsons last Sunday Morning Supplement with guest Ian McKellen.
Clive Anderson is to host the show until the end of January 2008.
He has stood in for Michael on Two or Three occasions and at least plays some sensible music.
We dread to think who will get the permanent slot.
