Robert, I just checked that cd out in Amazon--it sounds like my kind of music--so I ordered it for myself-I also ordered the 40's movies album-I forget what the title was--but I went to HMV, where they were £10.99 each--cheaper than Amazon.

Apparently she died just this year--looks like she was in her late 50'#s.

I did just catch that. He is doing really well just now---about to go back in Les Mis I believe.

I'm a big fan Marian, and am even one of 'Alfie's Arrows.' The name for his fans was chosen from when he was a little boy, the youngest of nine, people used to say "There goes Mrs Boe with all her little arrows"!!
Nice interview with Terry Wogan on his Sunday programme, I just caught up with it on iplayer. Lots of other appearances in the pipeline before his return to Les Mis which is on the 23rd of June, followed by a U.K Tour in December/January next year. We see him in Les Mis in August and in concert at the Royal Festival Hall early December. Can't wait! :D

Yes Marian, just the once, around the time of the show's 10th Anniversary. It has just passed its 25th. Dave Willetts was Jean Valjean then and we thought he was excellent, but there's something special about Alfie's interpretation of the part. Really looking forward to seeing him live at the end of August. :D

I think Dave Willetts is so under rated--I love him singing "Bring Him Home"--one of the best versions--out of several really good versions of this song.

I do not know who was in it , when I saw it,, as I was in New York--but it was just spectacular.

I've always been a fan of Dave Willetts too Marian. Saw him twice as The Phantom in London and Manchester, and in quite a few other shows including Seven Brides For Seven Brothers. Les Mis is definitely my favourite show though. It has everything! :D and wonderful songs.

I saw him in "Phantom" --in Manchester too !
He was just so brilliant.

I was also due to see him in concert locally at Tunbridge Wells--had a great seat-2nd row centre--I had some friends who know him well, and were going to introduce me after the show---then George told me that was the night of his Bowls Club Annual Meeting with all the prizes and cups given ouit--and George was due to be givem a trophy for Best Singles Player--quite an honour , especially as he had not been playing long---so there really was no choice-I had to be with George.

Keeping it old school, I decided to listen to a little Cilla Black and Helen Shapiro this morning, but then driving home, I had to put on Matt's "This is the Life" to get me in a good mood as work was just blahhhhh today...Too much going on and everything seemed like it was out of control...my people were begining to sound like chickens on the farm...but putting on Matt's music calmed me down...LOL

I had a feeling Matt would be played tonight, especially after DJ played Frankie Vaughan a little earlier  :)
