What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Hmmm, I decided to go back to the grade school days and pull out my Partridge Family/David Cassidy records. Anyone here a Partridge/Cassidy fan? LOL. I did listen to a singer named John Gary that our own Terry Como from the board recommended to me. Not bad at all.

My sister was always a Partridge /Cassidy fan--still is. I loved Shirley Jones in the big musicals.
I saw David Cassidy interviewed on Tv just aboiut a week ago --he is over here doing a concert---I was amazed when he said he was 61 !!

Hi Eman, John Gary was a great singer, I have several of his cd's, his wife has a website for him at johngary.com, there's lots of cd's and even dvd's for sale on there. He died sadly about 13 years ago.

John Gary is often played on David Jacobs show-a really lovely voice.
Talking of David Jacobs--i heard Frankie Vaughan singing last night-I forget the song-a very well-known one--but I had not realised what a great voice he had--i can only remember him from songs like "Green Door" etc.

Listening to Matt singing The Precious Moments

"My Tears Will Fall Now That You're Gone,
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"
I Can't Help But Cry, But I Must Go On"

Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
On the stereo turntable I'm listening to the US lp of Matt - From Russia With Love which I found at a record store during lunchtime today. I had to get away from the office for a tad, so I spent my lunch out in town and saw a record store.
Also listening to The Little River Band 's Greatest Hits. I love the songs "Reminiscing" and "Cool Change". I could hear Matt doing an ace version of either song!
Transvision Vamp's "Pop Art". Hmmm whatever happen to Wendy James
and last Brother Beyond's "Get Even" I love the PWL sound!
That should wrap it up for tonight before a new episode of "Glee". Is "Glee" big in the UK?

"Glee" is popular over here--but so far, I , personally, have not been able to get into it.
Series 1 started recently on Satellite, and I thought it would be a good chance to catch up--but it did not happen for me.

"Glee" is big in Oz as well...
Mind you, we have Digital Miulti-channels over here which is a recent development (?).
You can now watch everything dredged up from an almost antediluvian era..
I saw "Are You Being Served?" last night, a bit of fun, depressing to think they are all dead though..(sigh).
It would be brilliant to see re-runs of variety shows that featured Matt on his numerous visits Down Under.. I might drop 'em an e-mail.!

That would be a good idea Greg.
We have something similar over here with our Tv--my system is Sky, and there are loads of channels--so many showing old programmes from way back when--they do tend to repeat them though.
At the moment is a rerun of The Waltons, whih I always loved--but they are showing 2 episodes a day--just impossible to keep up with it.

Greg, Frank Thornton who played Captain Peacock in Are You Being Served is still alive, aged 90.

Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Surely Sky is available in Oz, as Rupert Murdoch comes from that neck of the woods

Re: What's In Your CD Player/iPod/MP3/Computer/Hi Fi, Right Now?
Yes, that is a nice cd--I really like Michael Ball---but I prefer him singing musical numbers. I would love to hear him sing music from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals---Carousel, Oklahoma etc etc--I cannot remember hearing him sing any of those songs.
