Hi Marian,

the result has done my team no favours, but at least we can still be friends! :)

Of course we will always stay friends Gray! :D
Disappointing match for both of us, sorry to see Leeds has now dropped out of the play-offs, hopefully just for a brief time. they definitely played better than Reading last night, lucky for Reading our goalie was on form.

Well, I aren't sure if we are good enough this season, Marian.
Palace now on Easter Monday...eek.
We have to win that one.

...However, I think the term I am looking for is 'pear shaped'. :(

I thought you were talking about me just for a moment then Gray!!
We've just come back from taking our grandkids home after Easter to our daughter and her Leeds obsessed partner! Big depressions to find Leeds are now ninth and lost again yesterday, but so did Reading who are now fifth. :(

Yes, shame about Leeds Gray, and Crystal Palace have been useless recently. My nieces husband is a staunch supporter.

Is he?
Well, they thoroughly deserved their win against Leeds.
I like Dougie Freedman, glad they are safe from relegation.

Away from the football for a moment...! I am watching Tales of the Unexpected as Chris bought the entire DVD set of 112 episodes on ebay for £20. I expect we will be watching them occasionally for a very long time!!!!

That is a good price Marian, I was looking at this set last week actually, a similar price on a few sellers on amazon. :)

My favourite stories, whether film, books or TV, are mysteries with a twist ending, or who-dunnits.

Therefore, I like Tales of the Unexpected too!

Has anyone watched The Ghost?
Ewan MacGregor is in it, Roman Polanski directs.
Very good film, I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good mystery story.

I liked "Tales of the Unexpected"--but in many cases I had already read the story in advance---I believe they were by Roald Dahl---and so they were not so unexpected for me.

Roald Dahl is my eldest daughter's favourite author.
Wasn't he brilliant?

I saw the cast of Willy Wonka and the Chocoalte Factory (the Gene Wilder movie) were on Daybreak this morning - it's 40 years since that hit the cinema's!

Roald Dahl was such a talented author! :D What an amazing collection of wonderful stories.
Did he ever get an honour? He should have done. :)
Anyone see Randy Newman on The One Show tonight? He looked so different from how I imagined him, or how I last saw him
