24bit / 96 KHz

Post by oxenholme » Tue May 10, 2011 12:29 pm

I'm curious whether anybody else here would like to see a release of Matt's songs in high resolution sound - perhaps on blu-ray.

As Richard has done his mastering work in 24/96 presumably it wouldn't be that big a deal to get it released that way?

What do you think Michele?
There's nothing to beat a good 45 rpm single...

I would guess that would be great and sound fantastic--but I wonder how many people have the facilities to listen to Blu Ray or similar--a few maybe.

Hi Oxenholme,

Great question but unfortunately EM would probably not consider doing this as it is such a niche market at the moment. Matt Monro is very lucky to have the standing he does with EMI that has allowed Richard to be able to remaster most of the library as it is and we are adding to that on every project - watch out for the upcoming 'Rarer Monro'.
