The most I ever sold a cd for was £51.00--and that happened twice--but I only started at £4.99.

One was Gene Pitney, and one was Gerard Kenny--which I may have mentioned before--but some newer members might not know that !

Oh-I have just remembered another that sold for big money--Ruthie Henshall.

I have never sold anything on eBay yet, but I have sold CDs on Amazon......................I sold one one a few months ago for about £50.00 - The Equals Pye Anthology - to someone in Holland :)

I have never tried selling on Amazon--it does not seem as easy as Ebay--and don't you have to put it on at a fixed price, rather than auction---if so, mine would have all gone for £15.00 the 3--instead of nearly £150.00.

You did really well Robert, to get that price.

I have just this morning sold 3 used rubber stamps, measuring about 2" x 3" --cost me £13.50---sold for £55.00 !!!!!! I only started them off at 99p each.

Nearly enough to pay for my dogs grooming this afternoon [£65.00]

Wow! or bow wow Marian! That was a great price.
I've not sold anything on ebay for ages but I have loads of stuff I should sell and move some clutter. I should think you get a much better 'audience' for items on ebay than Amazon, and as you say auctions bring better prices as well as being such fun! :D

Even better--just now on Ebay, they do a free listing weekend, every other weekend---they only had one the weekend just gone, but the weekend after this one should be free. So even if your stuff does not seel, you do not lose anything !!! Plus anything listed at 99p or under is free.

Yes Marian, you have to set your own price on Amazon.........you usually try to undercut another seller to attract a buyer  .................Amazon don't charge insertion fees, but take a commission if you sell a CD.

Did you actually set your Equals cd at £50.00 then, and if so, was there another one higher ?-I guess logically if you pay no insertion fees, there is nothing to lose.

Ebay charge about 10% commission if anything sells.

Yes Marian, I set my price at just over £50, as others were selling the same "still sealed" CD at about £60 :) ......................funnily enough I have sold my first CD for a while today..........one by Peter & Gordon for £16 :)
